Payment Terms

For new clients we will ask for payment immediately at the time of consultation for the first two visits, thereafter we will invoice clients by email, with payment terms of 7 days.

Emergency Cover

In an emergency you can always call 01737 233851. We are available 24/7. If Carlos is unavailable your call will be picked up by one of our trusted network of out of hours vets who will assist and advise you.

Normal office hours are 8:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 – 15:00 Friday. Please note that out-of-hours calls incur a higher fee.

Zone Visits

To operate as efficiently as possible and offer you the best value service we run a zone visit scheme, where we will attend yards in the same catchment area on the same day for a flat rate of £20 per visit for clients who are able to be flexible on timings. Should you require a specific appointment time, while the visit charge will be the standard (non-zone-day) fee, we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Please book your visit a minimum of 3 working days before the visit. We will try to accommodate any requests at shorter notice but can’t always guarantee this.

You will be able to book an appointment with Carlos in the ‘West Zone’ (north-west of Reigate: Chessington, Epsom, Leatherhead, Dorking etc) on Wednesdays.

Carlos will take appointments in the ‘East Zone’ (north-east of Reigate: Purley, Caterham, Chaldon etc) on Thursdays.

For clients in the ‘South Zone’ (south of Reigate: Copthorne, Horley, Salfords etc), appointment days are Mondays.

Non-zone day visits (and zone day appointments where a specific time is required) will be charged the relevant fee according to distance.

Share the Cost of the Visit

If more than one client requires our services at one premises on a non-zone day, each client will be charged half of the normal visit fee.

Equine Health Plans​

Unlike other veterinary practices, where your inclusive visit is to be used exclusively for Health Plan procedures, Reigate Vets encourages you to make the most of your visits. If you would like additional preventative care for your horse, such as a trot up, worm count or full clinical health check, you can book these at the same time as your Health Plan visit. Fewer visits from your vet: more convenient for you.

*Savings are approximate, based on the cost of separately billing for these services, and can vary depending on the weight of your horse.

When signing up for a Health Plan, you will be sent a Direct Debit request (powered by GoCardless) to pay monthly. Should you choose to pay for 12 months up front, the cost will be the monthly price multiplied by twelve. East Zone visits are Thursdays, West Zone visits are Wednesdays and South Zone visits are Mondays. Please note that if you require an appointment that is not your assigned zone day, the appointment will be charged as a non-zone day, and the visit fee will not be covered under the Health Plan. Cushings tests are, if requested, run alongside the Care About Cushings scheme and will require a voucher. Should you wish to cancel your Health Plan before redeeming the benefits, you may do so at any time. If one or any of the benefits of your Health Plan has been redeemed, cancellation is only possible at the end of the 12-month term. In the unfortunate event that your animal should pass away before the completion of the 12-month term, the above cancellation policy still applies.
